What Lights Are Suitable To Use In A Bathroom

Bathrooms are divided up into zones depending on how close the area is to a source of water.

The different zones require light fixtures of different minimum IP ratings.

For instance, if a light is going to be installed in zone 1 or 2 it will need a rating of IP44 or above.

If it's far enough away to be classed as zone 3 it can have a lower rating.

It is important to keep this in mind when choosing your bathroom light fittings.

We recommend talking to your electrician about what zone your light fittings will be installed in before selecting them.

It's a good idea to look at lights that are specifically designed for use in bathrooms, or even consider outdoor lights which are also suitable to use.
